    Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults L.A.D.A.

    This type of diabetes is similar to type 1 in that it is an autoimmune condition where the body destroys the insulin producing cells so that the person becomes type 1 and requires lifelong insulin treatment. However, unlike traditional type 1 it develops over a longer period and in adults.
